Aaron Fazakas’ piece, entitled "STALACTITE – The Silent Witness" is characterized by the tasteful blend of different music styles. The creation has three parts – Entry, Inside, Exit –, and it contains programmatic music elements. The mental elements dominate, joined by a surprisingly pleasant melodic world. It is an imaginary trip from baroque Italy to the romantic Tchaikovsky. The different timbral effects of the string instruments play an important role.
